TENSHIN

Built beside the long-established restaurant SHIN-SHIN-ANN in Sapporo, TENSHIN was designed as a detached tempura restaurant connected closely to its garden setting. Approached through a narrow alley, the space gradually reveals views of the pond, waterfall, and surrounding landscape. Floating roof-like ceilings, carefully framed openings, and natural materials dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, creating a quiet atmosphere that enhances the experience of Japanese cuisine.
