H Bldg.

H Bldg. is composed based on two historical axes that shaped the urban blocks of Sapporo. One derives from the flow of the Sosei River (formerly the Otomo Canal), while the other follows the axis established through the development of Kotoni by the tondenhei settlers. The intersection of these two lines forms the spatial framework of the architecture. Respecting the origins and historical structure of the city, the project seeks to become an “environmental architecture” that responds directly to its urban context.
